실패한 Windows 7 SP1 설치
어디서 잘못된 것인지 모르겠지만... 불행히도 제 윈도우 7의 SP1 설치가 실패했습니다. 처음 SP1 설치를 시작해서 42분 정도가 흐르고, 재부팅이 되어 설치 과정을 마무리 하는 중에 갑작스럽게 실패가 되었다면서 복구를 위한 재부팅 작업이 몇 번이고 반복되었습니다. (무한 재부팅될까 겁나더군요. ^^;)
다행히, 정상적으로 윈도우가 다시 부팅되고 화면에는 다음과 같은 오류 메시지 창이 떴습니다.

암튼... 결론은 어떤 오류로 인해서 SP1 설치가 실패한 것인지는 모르겠습니다. 위의 것 중에서 "WindowsWcpAIFailure3" 키워드로 검색을 해보니 아래와 같은 내용이 있는데요.

이중 부팅(Dual Boot)을 구성한 경우였다고 하는데, 음... 제 경우에도 이중 부팅이 Windows 7 x64와 Windows 7 x86으로 구성되어 있긴 했습니다.

혹시나 싶어서, bcdedit를 이용해서 VHD로 연결한 부팅 항목을 삭제했습니다.

자... 이제 한 가닥 희망을 갖고 SP1 재시작을 했으나 다음과 같은 오류 창이 발생하더군요.
해결책은 "윈도우 7을 업그레이드 모드로 해서 설치 작업을 다시 해야 한다."고 하는데... 휴~~~ 한숨 한 번 쉬고, Windows 7 DVD를 넣고 업그레이드를 시도했습니다.
그런데, 업그레이드조차도 제대로 안됩니다. ^^;

설마... 하는 마음에 컴퓨터 속성 창을 보니, SP1으로 이미 업그레이드 된 상태로 나옵니다.

물론... 정상적으로 SP1이 설치된 것은 아닙니다. 만약, 정상적으로 되었다면 "제어판" / "프로그램"에서 업데이트 항목을 보면 "Service Pack for Microsoft Windows (KB976932)"라고 나와야 하는데, 제 경우에는 KB976932에 포함된 다양한 패치 목록의 일부만 차지하고 있습니다. (세어 보니 99개의 2011-02-18 패치가 있었습니다.)
부디... 여러분들은 저처럼 황당한 SP1 설치가 안되길 바랍니다. (그나저나... 이렇게 되면 SP2를 기다려야 하나!!!)
