어느 순간 갑자기 접속이 안 되는 TFS 서버
정확히 어느 순간이라고 꼬집어 말하기가 어렵군요. 여느 때와 다름없이 Visual Studio를 켜고 TFS 서버 접속을 하는데 오류가 발생했습니다. 원인을 찾기 위해 TFS 서버의 이벤트 로그를 확인해 보니, 다음과 같은 3개의 로그가 남아 있었습니다.

사실, 딱히 위의 메시지로는 직접적인 원인을 찾을 수 없었습니다. 단지, 최근에 다음과 같은 일이 있었고,

최근 들어, DB 서버와 TFS 서버를 켜고 끌 때마다 "Applying machine settings..." 또는 "Applying user settings..." 단계에서 오래 멈춰 있다는 것이 마음에 걸리더군요. 이 역시 예전의 글 하나가 생각났습니다. ^^

해결 방법은 이번에도 IPv6였습니다. 2대의 Active Directory 서버 모두 IPv6 기능을 해제하니 정상적으로 TFS 서버 접속이 허용되었습니다. (보통 AD와 DNS 서버를 같이 두기 때문에 정확히 그 문제의 원인이 AD였는지, DNS였는지는 알 수 없었습니다.)
암튼... 요즘 들어 제가 관리하는 PC들에서 "IPv6 대란"이 발생하고 있군요. ^^;
