Visual Studio(devenv.exe)를 배치 파일(.bat)을 통해 실행하는 방법

배치 파일을 만들고,

REM test.bat
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio\2017\Enterprise\Common7\IDE\devenv.exe"

실행해 보면, cmd.exe 창이 떠 있고 그 자식 프로세스로 devenv.exe가 실행됩니다. 즉 devenv.exe 프로세스가 종료할 때까지 cmd.exe 창이 계속 떠 있는 것입니다. (물론, 종료시키면 되지만 매번 그러는 것도 귀찮습니다.)

배치 파일에서 프로세스를 비동기로 실행시키는 방법이 "start" 명령어를 사용하는 것입니다.

REM test.bat
start notepad.exe

그러면 .bat를 실행하던 명령행은 곧바로 종료하고 notepad.exe만 실행된 체로 남습니다. 그런데, 이 방법이 devenv.exe에는 통하지 않습니다. 실제로 실행해 보면,

REM test.bat
start "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio\2017\Enterprise\Common7\IDE\devenv.exe"

.bat를 실행하던 cmd.exe 창 내에서 devenv.exe가 명령행 모드로 실행이 완료됩니다. 왜냐하면 devenv.exe는 GUI뿐만 아니라 명령행 모드도 지원하기 때문입니다.

그래도, 검색해 보니 다행히 방법이 나옵니다. ^^

start의 첫 번째 인자(프로그램명)는 비워놓고 두 번째 인자 값으로 devenv.exe의 경로를 넘기는 것입니다. 이렇게!

REM test.bat
start "" "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio\2017\Enterprise\Common7\IDE\devenv.exe"

이제는 원하는 대로 cmd.exe는 종료되고 devenv.exe가 UI를 갖는 모드로 실행되어 정상적으로 모습을 드러냅니다. ^^
