Surface Pro 6 - Windows Hello Face Software Device가 인식이 안 되는 문제

어느 순간부터 서피스 프로 6 장치에서 카메라 인식이 안 되어 윈도우 Hello 인증에 실패합니다.

Sorry something went wrong

카메라를 켤 수 없습니다. PIN을 사용하여 로그인하세요.

장치 관리자(Device Manager) 상으로는 다음과 같은 장치 인식 실패가 뜨는데,

Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)

도대체 원인을 모르겠군요. ^^; 게다가 설정 창의 계정 정보에 있는 "Sign-in options"에도 활성화할 수 없다는 메시지가 나옵니다.

혹시 근래에 문제가 있던 "KB4524244" 패치도 지워보았는데 별 효력이 없다가 다행히 아래의 글에 따라,

"C:\Windows\System32\WinBioPlugIns\FaceDriver" 폴더에 있는,

1. HelloFace.inf
2. HelloFaceMigration.inf

2개의 파일에 대해 각각 마우스 우 클릭을 해 "Install" 메뉴를 선택하는 것으로 다시 장치 인식을 하는데 성공했습니다. ^^
