영문 윈도우에 한글 SQL Server 2008 R2 설치할 때 오류
아예 처음부터 영문 윈도우에 한글이 설치안된다고 나왔으면 이 고생을 안했을 텐데 ^^ 실수로 MSDN 구독자 다운로드 센터에서 한글 버전의 SQL Server 2008 R2를 받아서 설치를 시도하게 되었는데... 다음과 같은 "ExecuteStandardTimingsWorkflow" 단계를 잠깐 실행하고는,
잠시 후, 다음과 같은 오류 화면을 보여주는 것으로 끝을 냅니다.

재미있게도 ^^; "Setup Support Files" 단계라서 그런지 오류 로그 폴더 경로도 알려주지 않고 그냥 저대로 종료를 해버립니다.
그래서, 직접 아래와 같은 오류 경로를 찾아가서,
C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\100\Setup Bootstrap\Log\[날짜]_[시간]
"Summary_Win2008_[날짜]_[시간]_ComponentUpdate.txt" 파일을 보면, 다음과 같은 오류가 상단에 나옵니다.

위와 같이 에러 코드 3번(The system cannot find the path specified.)을 반환하고 있습니다. 당연히 그렇지요. ^^; 해당 윈도우는 영문 버전에 로케일만 한글로 바꾼 것입니다.

1033_ENU_LP\x86\setup\sqlsupport_msi\SqlSupport.msi" 파일이 없다는 것인데, 한글 설치 파일이었기 때문에 발생한 문제였습니다.
그래서, 영문 SQL Server 2008 R2(en_sql_server_2008_r2_enterprise_x86_x64_ia64_dvd_520517.iso)로 다시 다운로드 받아서 설치 완료!
