가상 메모리 쓰지 맙시다.

요즘 노트북이나 데스크톱이 보통 1GB 정도의 메모리를 보유하고 있지요.
이런 경우 굳이 가상 메모리를 쓸 필요가 없습니다. 오히려, 가상 메모리 사용을
해제하면 프로세스의 Context Switching 같은 것들이 훨씬 부드러워진 것을 느낄
수 있지요. 물론, 자신의 PC에서 VPC를 올리시는 분들이라면 메모리 부족
오류가 날 수 있지만. 그렇지 않은 경우라면 무리 없이 빠른 환경에서 사용이
가능합니다. (참고로 저는 제 노트북에서, 기본적으로 SQL Server 2000, IIS,
VS.NET 2003, OneNote 2003이 컴퓨터에 올라와 있는데 메모리 사용량이 450MB
정도 됩니다.)

참... VPC에서 쓰는 vhd 이미지 파일이 Virtual Server 2005에서도 그대로
사용 가능하다는 거 알고 계시죠? 따라서, 자신의 컴퓨터에서 무리하게 VPC를
운용해서 컴퓨터 성능을 떨어뜨리기보다는, 회사의 데스크톱이나 성능 좋은
서버에 Virtual Server를 설치해 두시고 거기서 돌리는 것이 여러 가지 면에서
쾌적한 개발 환경을 즐기실 수 있습니다. ^^
